Making the Immaterial Material

“There is a geometry to art as there is to life, and as the Greeks guessed, they happen to be the same.”

Matila Ghyka 1881-1965

Scientific environments are inclined to pigeon-hole our intellectual  perceptions into either/or states.  The  Arts take us to the heart's intelligence towards Unity and a greater self awareness where perceptions are infinite.  Currently the Arts are treated as entertainment or as decoration.  I strongly feel that the Arts should be a fully integrated developmental process of each individual’s intellectual, emotional, spiritual and physical growth.

Born in Bountiful, Utah and widely traveled, I earned degrees from La Sorbonne & the University of Utah in French, Musicology & Musical Composition. My current focus is on the symbiotic vibrational resonances that co-exist between color, shape and sound.

I search for the essence of life forms making material the immaterial nature of the creative process. I am a self taught painter.

I am inclined towards mysticism where Eastern and Western philosophies are referenced in  my personal visual & sounded vocabulary.  I approach my paintings and sounded compositions in Suite or Serial compositions.  My recent paintings are  imbued with  images reflecting both the actual and the ephemeral structure of energy.
